A Note From EdnaOften as women we find value and worth in our accomplishments and earthly titles, such as...mom, wife, president, CEO, singer, and so on. These accomplishments and titles have become our identity. Without a tag line following our name we feel invaluable, we feel as if our life has no meaning. Some of us walk in defeat because of our past failures, we lack self esteem because we’ve allowed a worldly message to define who we are. What you and I believe about ourselves will determine our actions and how we live. We can’t live vibrant, or exude vibrancy because we can’t believe that we are. We are facing an identity crisis. Listen to me…….You Are Amazing! John 10:10 says, : I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (to the full, till it overflows). Is this the life we are experiencing today? Are we experiencing life as God intended? God wants us to walk in the confidence of His love, allowing Him to live life for us and through us. He made it possible for us to be the radiance of His life. Most of us as little girls played dress up, we’d envision ourselves as a princess’s in royal setting. We’d put on our tiara’s, our mom’s high heels and makeup, while having the time of our lives. How is it, as adulthoods we play the role of peasant? When those in Christ really possess a royal identity. Our Father is the King of the universe but yet we walk in the opposite. Ephesians 4:22-24 (Amplified Bible) states...Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; and be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], and put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. Quit wearing those dirty soiled clothes—God gave you a new garment. Appropriate the truths of your new self. The LORD your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with his love.
