Edna’s Story

There was a time in Edna’s life when even though she had everything a woman could want, a loving husband, two beautiful children, and a nice house and car, she still felt empty inside. She began to wallow in the doldrums of self-pity and had very low self-esteem. Although she received Christ as Savior at an early age she still questioned her identity and worth. She found the answers through God’s Word - and it changed her life forever! This awakening in Christ has given her a heart for helping "real" Christian women live richly and fully in the real world. Edna shares that many women spend their entire lives looking for value, worth, significance, and acceptance. We’ve been led to believe, by the world’s standards, that it all comes through job titles, marital status, perfect children, material possessions, and worldly successes. Without these accomplishments we struggle with our identity and continue to live in search of our place in this world. As a result women may suffer with low self-esteem and depression. Edna challenges women to believe that God has already provided a way of escape from this vicious cycle, it is through trusting and believing who Christ says that we are, it is through him that we find satisfaction and fulfillment in our lives. Success doesn’t come through a set of externals, success comes from the internal. We can live the victorious life God intended us to have through His power! “Christ in you the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27
